- ISO 7991 Determination of coefficient of mean linear thermal expansion
- ASTM E 288 Linear Thermal Expansion of Solid Materials with a push-rod Dilatometer
- ISO 17562 Test method for linear thermal expansion of monolithic ceramic by push-rod technique

Average or peak thermal expansion coefficient is calculated by measuring expanded length in certain temperature range within the elastic zone using the Dilatometer. Dead annealed samples must be used for thermal expansion because samples may have different values between before and after annealing process.

5cm(W) x 5cm(L) x 0.6mm(H), Approx. 40g

Indicator for glass strength against thermal shock. It is used to calculate volume expansion of glass.
